Kindly find in the dropbox suggestions to teaching a unit in World English Intro.

a. These suggestions and activities are all based on the book to make full use of the components of the teacher's book.
b. The suggestion are based on the Can Do's and the four language skills (L: Listening, S: speaking, R: reading & W: writing)
c. The suggestions are ordered following the order of the lessons in the unit.
d. I included 3 activity ideas on teaching vocabulary and grammar (not per se but communicatively addressing the L & the S skills) .
e. Please prepare the Can Do's on a chart to discuss with the students before the session starts and to check the ones that were met while teaching.
Thank you

I am worried...There are not many grammar points to teach this term...

Well...there is no need to worry about not having many grammer points to teach because:
1- World English Intro aims at introducing the learners to the culture of the target language. Therefore, it is recommended that we make use of the hints in the teachers' book to cultural issues. For example: Cell phone etiquette in unit 7. we can introduce the students to issues of polite, impolite and illegal usages of cell phones. we can introduce them to new vocabulary like: Fine, as well as to negative and positive instructions.
2- The quizes and the final tests are not grammar oriented.
Thererfore,it is it is useful to have limited grammar objectives to achieve and to allow more room for oral and written practice. By doing this we will make sure that our students do not produce sentences like: He reading or he can reading.
Best regards, Maha
